Academic honesty is a core value in education. The University places very high importance on honesty in academic work submitted by students, and adopts a policy of zero tolerance on academic dishonesty. Any offence will lead to penalties. Every student, both undergraduate and postgraduate, should make himself/herself familiar with the University’s Guidelines on Academic Honesty and avoid any practice that would not be acceptable.
The Faculty has prepared a booklet on “Guidelines to Academic Honesty”, aiming to provide guidelines and examples relevant to our Engineering courses; see the links below. All engineering and non-engineering students taking courses offered by the Engineering departments should read the information provided.
- Guidelines to Academic Honesty (by the Faculty of Engineering)
- Faculty Disciplinary Committee - Procedures (Extracts from the University Policies)
- Honesty in Academic Work: A Guide for Students and Teachers (by the CUHK)
- “Regulations and Rules” in Undergraduate Student Handbook (by the CUHK and some items are also applicable to postgraduate students)
